OUR COUNTRY

Bowraville is fortunate to be ringed by national parks, conservation areas and nature reserves. These parks and reserves offer both adventure and a balm for the soul. An endless vista of mountains forms a landscape in transition from the coast to the plateau – a true Instagrammer’s paradise. Take any number of scenic drives to experience rivers, vibrant farmland, dramatic landscapes, biodiverse eucalyptus forests and quaint villages.

It’s easy to immerse yourself in nature, to slow down, pause and surround yourself with beauty. You can swim in creeks or throw in a line.  You can paddle the waterways in a kayak, ride mountain bikes through forest tracks, or dirt bikes in the bush. You can bushwalk or bird watch or sit around a campfire and write your story upon the night sky.

If you have a 4WD, plan a day trip on North Arm and Horseshoe Roads. Experience old growth forest at Leagues Scrub then move onto Killerkrankie Lookout for awe inspiring views of the escarpment and valley systems.  Take a picnic lunch, then wind back down to the valley floor to cool off in the creek at Little Wonder. Head back to town feeling full of peace and gratitude.
